Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health histories and both limited and full physical examinations to evaluate new and established patients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular issues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans through collaboration with attending physicians and specialists, ensuring continuity of care across healthcare providers.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostics, using the results to inform patient care decisions that are evidence-based and patient-centric.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions, adhering to established clinical guidelines and practice standards.
• Educate patients and their families about chronic disease management, preventive care, and health promotion, considering their unique psychosocial backgrounds and healthcare literacy.
• Stay current with cardiology best practices to ensure patients receive preventative and therapeutic interventions that reflect the latest research and clinical protocols.
• Regularly confer with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and other healthcare staff, to optimize patient outcomes and ensure a seamless treatment experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology at Ethereal Medical Health Clinic, you will primarily serve patients with cardiovascular conditions, ranging from hypertension and heart failure to arrhythmias and post-operative care. The diverse patient population encompasses various age groups, socio-economic backgrounds, and coexisting health conditions, requiring you to deliver culturally competent care tailored to each individual’s specific needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a concentration in Family or Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to make informed clinical decisions.

Preferred Experience
