Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Albany Health Care Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging and supportive group therapy sessions to help clients connect with peers, share insights, and foster interpersonal learning.

• Individual Therapy: Deliver personalized, empathetic counseling to explore clients' thoughts and feelings, equipping them with coping strategies and constructive action plans.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans addressing their unique needs and preferences.

• Progress Monitoring: Utilize assessment tools and feedback methods to track clients' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary for optimum outcomes.

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, consult on complex cases, and ensure the best possible client support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young adults, specifically those aged 18 to 30, navigating mental health challenges. You will engage with clients within our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), delivering holistic and evidence-based interventions designed to foster resilience, recovery, and resilience. This vital client demographic often experiences transitional challenges, which you will help them navigate through therapeutic support.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license.

• A bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with young adults and their families.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and technology to facilitate effective virtual counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with experience in working with young adults, those familiar with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, and proficiency in team collaboration will be given preference.
