Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to address the unique psychological needs of children and adolescents, encompassing tools such as standardized questionnaires and clinical interviews.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual assessments, integrating evidence-based practices that consider each patient's developmental needs, family dynamics, and cultural backgrounds.

• Implement therapeutic interventions for a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to create supportive environments conducive to their child’s health.

• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to provide cohesive and integrated care for our young patients, attending regular case review meetings to discuss treatment strategies and progress.

• Provide crisis intervention support when necessary, effectively managing acute mental health episodes and ensuring the safety and stabilization of children and adolescents in distress.

• Educate families about mental health conditions, available community resources, and treatment options, equipping them with the knowledge to make informed decisions about care.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions and progress, adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards set forth by regulatory bodies.

• Engage actively in professional development initiatives, including case consultation and skill-building workshops, to enhance your therapeutic techniques and knowledge of emerging trends in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Compass Mental Health Center, you will primarily serve children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. Our focus includes a wide spectrum of issues such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), behavioral problems, and the impacts of trauma. You will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing atmosphere where young individuals feel understood, supported, and empowered on their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred for advanced knowledge and practice.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California, ensuring compliance with state regulations for mental health practitioners.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, showcasing your ability to handle complex cases with confidence and professionalism.

• Proficient understanding of child and adolescent developmental psychology and effective evidence-based treatment strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy, with a focus on children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you aboard.
