Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance, while also offering occasional engagement at our outpatient office in San Diego, CA. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient requirements and workload.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs and concerns of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring incorporation of family dynamics and developmental stages.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, providing parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive and nurturing home environments.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive care approach.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of young patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to provide the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents, ranging from early childhood through late adolescence. Our clients often present with challenges related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and a variety of behavioral disorders. Your expertise will help to create a nurturing environment that not only addresses mental health concerns but also promotes overall well-being and emotional growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting, preferably working with children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency in delivering both individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a child-centered and empathetic approach.
\n
• Ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families, ensuring a trusting therapeutic relationship.

• Competence in working with electronic health record systems and basic computer applications.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
