Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including intake assessments and ongoing monitoring to accurately document each client's journey from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop tailored treatment and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups that address their unique experiences and challenges.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing creative therapeutic interventions to engage clients effectively.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical professionals, and support staff to refine intervention strategies and enhance patient care.

• Maintain timely follow-ups with other healthcare providers, ensuring continuity of care for clients who may require hospitalization or additional services.

• Identify, monitor, and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, empowering clients to overcome their challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A positive score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A proven history of utilizing counseling techniques effectively within a professional setting.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for accurate documentation and management of client records.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in treating co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the ethical standards and best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ensuring clear documentation and client interactions.
