Work Environment

This role will be primarily executed in home settings across Freehold, New Jersey, offering a unique opportunity to work one-on-one with patients in their own environments. Our onsite model allows therapists to assess and address functional limitations directly in the context of patients' daily lives. We maintain a flexible schedule with a commitment of 40 hours per week, which may include variable weekends to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique functional limitations and disabilities.
• Deliver comprehensive physical therapy services, which include applying therapeutic techniques, assessing progress, and modifying treatment as needed to meet goals.
• Consult with other healthcare providers regarding the continuum of patient care, ensuring a collaborative approach to treatment.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for each patient encounter, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards for progress notes, billing, and treatment justification.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, offering insights and recommendations based on the treatment plan and patient progress.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing initiatives to educate the public on available services, promoting the importance of physical therapy in recovery.
• Oversee and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they are equipped to assist in delivering high-quality care.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and effectiveness in therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements, fractures, and sports injuries. The therapist will engage with a diverse patient population, which may include individuals of all ages and various cultural backgrounds. A commitment to providing patient-centered care and understanding each patient's unique recovery journey is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Active State License in Physical Therapy is required.
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
• Proficient in computer applications, including patient management systems and electronic health records.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within a home care or outpatient orthopedic therapy setting, is preferred. Experience participating in interdisciplinary teams and developing treatment plans tailored to patients' needs is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
