Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions either in clients' homes or through virtual platforms, ensuring that all interventions are customized to the specific needs of each child.

• Assist clients in developing essential skills such as anger management and coping strategies, while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and aggression.
\n
• Work closely with caregivers and clients to enhance decision-making skills that support effective behavioral management strategies at home.
\n
• Engage in a multidisciplinary approach by collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, maintaining a cohesive strategy for client success.
\n
• Complete all required documentation, including client intake records, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely and organized manner to ensure compliance with clinic standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and share recommendations for improvements in therapeutic techniques and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who face a variety of developmental and cognitive challenges. This role centers on providing therapeutic support to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), thus enabling them to overcome obstacles and thrive within their communities. Your empathetic and culturally responsive approach will play a critical role in healing and development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• Current and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Arizona.
\n
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is required; weekend availability is a plus.

• Experience supporting positive behavior interventions and understanding children with high behavioral needs.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle to facilitate home visits is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is strongly preferred to better serve our diverse client demographic.

• Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored specifically for children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
