Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, focusing on evidence-based practices to support emotional and psychological well-being.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that include interventions for anger management, coping skills, and social skills training.

• Implement strategies to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.

• Enhance decision-making skills among adolescents and their caregivers to effectively manage behavioral challenges within the home setting.

• Collaborate consistently with the interdisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team to design and modify treatment plans based on client progress.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Participate in ongoing training and attend monthly team meetings to share insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population consists of children aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities, cognitive challenges, and behavioral issues. As a therapist, you will engage with diverse families seeking support and guidance through intensive, community-based therapy. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Washington.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, especially during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend availability valued.

• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to travel to client homes or clinic locations as needed.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety of our clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and interventions for children with challenging behaviors.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Portuguese, which are particularly useful for our diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
