Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients in their homes or via virtual platforms, ensuring comfort and accessibility.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on anger management, social skills development, and enhancing coping strategies for children and families.
\n
• Provide expertise and guidance by addressing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious actions and physical aggression, while promoting positive behavioral support methodologies.
\n
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with our Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists, leveraging various perspectives to facilitate comprehensive therapy.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Participate in monthly clinical meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on therapeutic experiences and client interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is centered on working with children aged 3-20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will be equipped to address a broad spectrum of behavioral complexities through both in-home therapeutic interventions and virtual support sessions, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours of 4-7 PM, with some flexibility for weekends.
\n
• Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese to better serve our diverse clientele.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrable experience providing positive behavior support in a clinical or educational setting.
\n
• Previous work experience with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
