Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into patients’ trauma histories and identify pertinent treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering resilience and promoting trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to support patients in processing their trauma and developing essential coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care that addresses the multifaceted needs of patients.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during emergencies that arise from trauma-related circumstances, exemplifying calm and decisive action.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with individuals affected by various trauma-related disorders, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse client population, providing customized treatment that respects their unique experiences, backgrounds, and therapeutic needs.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A commitment to understanding trauma-informed methodologies and the nuances of resilience building.

• Demonstrated experience with trauma-focused therapies and a strong foundational knowledge of functionality and recovery processes for trauma survivors.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that reflect a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and comfort with digital communication tools for remote therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a related setting is preferred. Candidates who have previous experience delivering trauma-focused therapies will find this role particularly rewarding.

Compensation and Benefits\n
