Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to support clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. However, the counselor may also have scheduled in-person visits at our outpatient facility to foster rapport and trust with clients. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in hours to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and determining suitable treatment methodologies.

• Developing and overseeing individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting resilience, recovery, and overall well-being.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual needs.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering clients by helping them process their trauma and learn effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and mental health professionals, to ensure unified care for all patients.

• Providing crisis intervention and support during critical situations related to trauma.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on the effects of trauma, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them.

• Maintaining precise and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload will primarily consist of individuals dealing with the long-term effects of trauma. This includes clients suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work intimately with each client to provide tailored support and contribute to their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor and a non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and being adept with various computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
