Work Environment

Working as a Physical Therapist with Focus Physical Therapy involves providing services directly in patients' homes in the Cape Coral area. Our home care approach allows therapists to assess and address the unique challenges faced by each patient in their own environment. The role involves flexible scheduling primarily from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, with potential adjustments to meet patient needs. This setting encourages personalized interaction with patients, promoting strong therapeutic relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient, aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation activities to enhance their physical well-being and relieve pain.
• Educate patients and their families on effective body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs, fostering autonomy in the recovery process.
• Effectively administer therapeutic modalities under appropriate supervision, which may include electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and thermal treatments.
• Monitor and document patient progress, meticulously tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities to guide future treatment strategies.
• Prepare treatment areas in home settings, ensuring that necessary equipment and supplies are organized and available for efficient therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team—including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists—to deliver coordinated care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support during therapy sessions, creating a motivating and supportive atmosphere that encourages patient engagement and compliance.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality throughout all interactions and documentation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.

• Ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload of patients.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
