Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, health histories, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices and a variety of physical therapy modalities.
• Consult with patients and their caregivers, providing education and training to foster understanding and cooperation in the healing process.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to create comprehensive care strategies.
• Interface with administrative staff to facilitate streamlined patient scheduling, billing processes, and service delivery.
• Promote continuous quality improvement through participation in departmental evaluations and initiatives.
• Supervise the work of physical therapy assistants and other support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and seminars relevant to physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position entails working with a wide range of patients from various demographics, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing different physical rehabilitation needs, ranging from post-surgical recovery to management of chronic conditions and rehabilitation for sports injuries.

Qualifications

• A valid and current Physical Therapist license from the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A robust clinical background with at least two years of experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in outpatient therapy.
• The ability to physically perform assessments and treatments, including lifting, kneeling, and standing while executing therapy techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with a diverse patient population in an outpatient physical therapy clinic.
• Proven ability to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits
