Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients through comprehensive diagnostic methods to develop customized physical therapy treatment plans that address their specific orthopedic needs.
• Implement and direct physical therapy techniques aimed at improving muscle function, restoring mobility, and relieving pain.
• Oversee the training and implementation of care by physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to established treatment protocols.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and a variety of physical agents, such as heat and cold therapy, to facilitate rehabilitation.
• Evaluate and adjust orthotic devices as necessary and collaborate closely with physicians for effective patient outcomes.
• Document clinical findings accurately, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, meeting all standards for compliance and oversight.
• Engage actively in case conferences and care planning meetings with an interdisciplinary team to refine and optimize client treatment strategies.
• Provide education and training to clients and families regarding home exercises, physical therapy devices, and all aspects of their rehabilitation program.
• Monitor patient progress continually, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans and consistently communicating with the healthcare team.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical records and submit documentation regarding patient care timely and in alignment with clinic policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic specializes in the orthotic and rehabilitative care of a diverse clientele that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic orthopedic conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an orthopedic-focused physical therapy setting.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with extensive backgrounds in orthopedic rehabilitation, familiarity with electronic medical record systems, and specialized training in emerging physical therapy techniques will be considered favorably. Experience in managing diverse patient caseloads is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
