Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, where you will engage directly with patients in their homes or at community health events. Your work hours will typically be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m., and patient outreach activities during weekends. The role involves a blend of clinical assessments, community engagement, and health promotion initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall health of the Paterson community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings for patients, collecting detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations to inform diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, delivering preventive care and health promotion interventions tailored to each patient's needs.
• Collaborate closely with local community organizations and stakeholders to design and implement effective health education programs that address prevalent health concerns within the population.
• Ensure culturally sensitive care by understanding and acknowledging the diverse backgrounds of patients, advocating for their rights, and facilitating access to necessary healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care for patients to guarantee continuity in their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
