Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, compassionate assessments of patients seeking help for substance use disorders, tailoring evaluations to identify unique needs and treatment goals.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

• Deliver structured individual counseling sessions focused on helping patients navigate through their recovery journeys.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, creating an inclusive atmosphere where participants feel safe to share and support one another.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and healthcare providers to deliver integrated care that addresses both mental health and substance-related issues.

• Provide crisis intervention services during substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support to those at risk.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, effective recovery strategies, and community resources to empower them throughout the treatment process.

• Maintain meticulous documentation, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines, and using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient management.

• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development sessions to stay abreast of advancements in substance use disorder treatment.

You will be working primarily with individuals experiencing substance use disorders in various stages of recovery. This diverse patient population may include individuals from all walks of life, each facing unique challenges and requiring tailored therapeutic strategies. Your empathetic approach will play a vital role in building trust and rapport, thereby enhancing treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in treating substance use disorders with a solid understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented care practices.

• At least two years of experience providing individual and group therapy within an addiction treatment setting.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting empathy, non-judgmental support, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is beneficial.

• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, maintaining a patient-centric focus.
