Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs and concerns of each patient, formulating individualized treatment plans that respect their personal goals and circumstances.

• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a variety of modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approaches, adapting to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that address prevalent mental health issues, creating an inviting space for shared learning and community support.

• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure holistic treatment approaches and continuity of care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services, responding effectively to emergency situations and offering immediate support to those in acute distress.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate documentation for treatment and billing purposes.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to stay current with advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Therapists will work with a varied patient population in Columbia and surrounding areas, addressing mental health disorders across the lifespan. Our clients range from children and adolescents to adults, who present with a diverse array of needs including major depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance use challenges. Therapists will experience the fulfillment that comes from making a direct impact on the lives of individuals, helping them navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and effective evidence-based treatment practices.

• Ability to perform thorough mental health assessments and develop actionable treatment plans based on clinical best practices.

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy to a diverse population, with a focus on building therapeutic rapport.

Compensation and Benefits\n
