Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing and coordinating physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function, aligned with each patient's care plan.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional levels using diagnostic tests related to muscles, nerves, joints, and mobility.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans while mentoring them through various phases of physical therapy services.
• Administering a wide range of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other physical modalities such as traction and massage to facilitate recovery.
• Assessing the home environment and recommending modifications to improve patients' independence during their rehabilitation journey.
• Documenting patient evaluations, progress, and care plans comprehensively, ensuring accurate reflection in their clinical records.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adapt treatment strategies where necessary.
• Engaging with patients and their families to provide education on therapy techniques and devices, fostering a collaborative approach to care.
• Ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide care primarily to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, those managing chronic pain, and patients seeking rehabilitation following illness or injury. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and current State Physical Therapy License in good standing.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with applicable auto insurance.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, candidates with experience in both acute and home care settings will be prioritized.
