In this remote role, you will have the flexibility to manage your work schedule effectively while engaging with students, parents, and teachers through telehealth platforms or scheduled virtual meetings. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify their mental health needs, as well as emotional, behavioral, and social functioning.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that respect the cultural background of each student.

• Provide psychotherapy and mental health services to address various conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues.

• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) to document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes securely.

• Collaborate with educational staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support for students, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

• Engage in ongoing monitoring of student progress, adopting a proactive stance to modify treatment plans as needed based on real-time feedback and assessments.

This position primarily serves students within the school system who may be experiencing varying degrees of mental health concerns. Our client population spans a diverse demographic, reflecting the community of Newark, New Jersey. As a licensed clinical social worker, you will address the unique circumstances faced by each student, taking into account their cultural backgrounds and personal challenges, to provide tailored therapeutic support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing direct psychotherapy and mental health services, particularly in school settings.

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting thorough behavioral health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in an educational setting or with a pediatric population is highly desirable. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, trauma-informed care, and outreach methods in schools is also a plus. Experience in utilizing teletherapy tools and techniques will benefit applicants as well.

Compensation and Benefits\n
