Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, taking into account their unique developmental stages.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that are thoughtfully designed to address the mental health needs of each young patient and their family context.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in both individual and family therapy sessions to effectively manage conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with the tools necessary to create supportive home environments.
\n
• Collaborate with fellow child psychiatrists, school staff, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to each child’s mental health care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for young clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong clinical acumen under pressure.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources for further support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client information is handled confidentially.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to enrich treatment strategies while remaining current with ongoing professional development.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to enhance therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Core Mind, you will mainly work with children and adolescents aged 5-18, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues. Our patient population includes youth battling anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral challenges, and other psychological conditions. Our goal is to empower these young individuals to develop resilience and coping strategies that facilitate their growth and success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and a variety of treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering both individual and family therapy sessions, with a compassionate and engaging approach.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and their families effectively.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools for documentation and communication.
\n
• Ability to collaborate seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team ensuring comprehensive care.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents.

• Familiarity with community resources and external support systems for families seeking additional assistance.
\n
• Proven experience in crisis intervention and management in a mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
