Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that each client’s unique needs are met through tailored interventions.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that reflect the client's goals and preferences, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to communicate assessment results and treatment progress during patient rounds and regular meetings, fostering a cohesive approach to care.

• Managing a caseload of assigned patients by coordinating with hospital and community resources to ensure comprehensive support and interventions.

• Documenting client interactions and treatment plans accurately and ethically to maintain compliance with departmental standards.

• Employing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other proven methodologies to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals and enhancing their overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse client base, including individuals from various backgrounds, adolescents, families, and groups facing a range of mental health challenges. As a mental health clinician at Oakridge, you will have the opportunity to work with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral issues, thereby playing a crucial role in their journey toward recovery and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R), or equivalent by the State of New York.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing mental health services in an outpatient or community health setting.

• A Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with experience in specialized therapeutic interventions, particularly CBT and other evidence-based practices, or those who have worked with specific population groups (e.g., children, veterans) will be viewed favorably. Flexible scheduling and a readiness to engage with clients for 5 to 40 hours per week are also desirable attributes.
