Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with clients seeking to address their alcohol use, utilizing various evidence-based methodologies.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that reflect the unique goals and preferences of each client.

• Facilitate and lead support group sessions, if desired, fostering a collaborative community environment.

• Engage with clients utilizing motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral techniques to encourage active participation in their recovery.

• Partner with our Content Manager to provide insights and share best practices through platform resources, enhancing the support available to clients.

• Participate in case discussions and consultations with clinical operational teams for continuous improvement of care quality.

• Keep up with continuing education requirements and obtain CEU credits annually, with costs covered by the organization.

• Utilize our streamlined administrative system, ensuring that billing and scheduling worries are handled efficiently by the support team.

• Participate in monthly peer support groups to foster professional development and community bonding.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from individuals seeking moderation in their drinking behaviors to those who may wish to pursue abstinence. You will work with a diverse group, including people who are motivated to change but unsure of how to navigate their recovery journey. Understanding and applying harm-reduction principles will be crucial as you guide clients through flexible treatment options.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

• Demonstrated experience (minimum of 3 years) in mental health counseling, particularly with clients addressing alcohol use issues.

• Strong clinical engagement skills with the capacity to empathize and build rapport with clients.

• Familiarity with community recovery support options (e.g., AA, SMART Recovery) to provide holistic support to clients.
