Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique needs, goals, and potential challenges of individuals seeking assistance with substance use disorders.

• Lead individual counseling sessions, providing patients with a safe space to explore their thoughts and feelings while encouraging their progress in recovery.

• Work alongside psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care tailored to the best interests of each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention services during hours of operation, ensuring patients receive immediate support during times of acute need.

• Educate patients and their families about the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and accessible community resources.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, complying with ethical and legal standards to ensure confidentiality and quality of care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Demonstrated expertise in the field of substance use disorders along with a strong foundation in recovery-oriented practices and evidence-based treatment models.

• Proven experience in providing both individual and group therapy in addiction treatment settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental, empathetic approach in all interactions.

• Ability to navigate and maintain professional boundaries, strictly adhering to ethical guidelines for patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficient in commonly used computer applications.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team for integrated patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting is preferred.

• Experience with crisis intervention and familiarity with community resources related to addiction recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
