Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish the individual needs and treatment goals of patients suffering from substance use disorders, utilizing compassionate interviewing techniques.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Provide ongoing individual counseling sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment conducive to open communication and healing.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at creating community support for individuals on their recovery journey, enhancing peer relationships and accountability.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with adults and families affected by substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opiates, and stimulants. Many of these individuals are veterans, and culturally competent care is essential in understanding their unique experiences. Your role will involve addressing diverse client backgrounds and needs, ensuring that each patient receives compassionate care tailored to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated experience working with individuals facing substance use disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.

• A strong understanding of treatment modalities and recovery-oriented practices that promote long-term client success.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and empathetic skills, necessary for fostering trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a clinical setting, particularly within outpatient substance use or dual-diagnosis treatment.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems for maintaining client documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000.
