Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical condition and symptoms.
• Utilize your clinical judgment to diagnose movement dysfunctions and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Implement evidence-based practices by teaching patients appropriate therapeutic exercise techniques that promote rehabilitation and self-management.
• Provide physical treatments, including stimulation, manual therapy, or massage, to facilitate healing and alleviate pain.
• Assist patients with the proper use of mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs or walkers, to ensure their safety and independence.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress and setting achievable rehabilitation goals to monitor outcomes effectively.
• Advise patients and family members on at-home exercises and support strategies to enhance recovery outside of therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base encompasses a diverse mix of individuals, including pediatric and adult patients facing a wide range of physical challenges. Whether dealing with post-operative recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain, or developmental disorders, you will be instrumental in guiding each patient along their path to improved function and health through customized therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Possess a valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Exhibit proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage patient records and treatment documentation accurately.
• Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

While we requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist, we highly value applicants demonstrating experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings. Previous work with diverse patient populations and familiarity with various rehabilitation techniques are considered assets.

Compensation and Benefits
