Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments through preliminary interviews, capturing detailed client histories and documenting cases from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health effectively, using standardized tools and clinical judgment to assess treatment needs.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, taking into account their specific needs and objectives.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based techniques and therapeutic principles while adapting to the dynamics of each session.

• Monitor client's progress throughout their treatment plans with regular check-ins, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to refine treatment plans and enhance client care.

• Follow up with clients requiring inpatient treatment, ensuring continuity of care by coordinating with attending physicians and psychiatrists.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and actively implement strategies to prevent behaviors that may impede client progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance on managing behavioral challenges and enhancing overall family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients struggling with mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your compassionate approach will cater to varying age groups and backgrounds, ensuring that each individual feels supported and understood throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Texas.

• Successful passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to articulate client progress and collaborate with other professionals.

• Exemplary interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature to foster trust and develop rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or therapist in an outpatient or community mental health setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain client documentation and track treatment plans.

• Experience working with clients facing physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to ensure compliance and ethical standards.

• In-depth knowledge of medications prescribed by medical specialists, their functions, and potential impacts on client mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
