Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews, documenting clients' mental health status from intake to discharge with precision.

• Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.

• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans that are suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups, with clear metrics for success.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage participation, foster trust, and promote healing.

• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, making adjustments as needed based on feedback and observed outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a network of mental health professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses—to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

• Follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients who have been admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and enhance therapeutic relationships.

The clients served by Healthy Wave Counseling Center represent a diverse range of ages and backgrounds, often facing complex mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your expertise will play a crucial role in addressing the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate their individual challenges while fostering resilience and coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counseling Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of experience as a mental health counselor with proven clinical skills.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically familiar with AVATAR software.
\n
• Depth of knowledge regarding physical health conditions, emotional health challenges, and addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices is preferred.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, combined with a compassionate approach to client interaction.

• Strong interpersonal skills, building rapport and trust with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Working knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.

• Experience in a virtual counseling environment, demonstrating adaptability to remote service delivery.
