Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Active Stride, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to understand their physical limitations and symptoms effectively.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that promote mobility, relieve pain, and enhance overall quality of life.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions, including hands-on treatment such as massage or stimulation, as well as educational guidance for patients.
• Instructing patients on the correct use of therapeutic exercises and assistive equipment, ensuring a safe recovery process.
• Regularly assessing patient progress and adjusting treatment plans in response to changing conditions.
• Documenting patient care, maintaining accurate records of treatment sessions and outcomes, and collaborating with other healthcare providers when necessary.
• Providing expert advice to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs and additional supportive measures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes a wide range of individuals, from children to adults, who present with diverse diagnoses such as orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological impairments, and sports injuries. You will engage with patients and their families in a meaningful way, simplifying complex medical language and empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in computer applications and documentation processes relevant to patient care.
• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to meet the varying needs of our patient population and clinic operations.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are welcome to apply, we prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in a clinical setting. Experience working with diverse age groups and various physical conditions will be advantageous. Familiarity with specialized therapeutic modalities and techniques will also be a plus.
