Work Environment

This position is based onsite in the Syracuse area, where you will work directly with patients in their homes. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality medical care that adheres to national and community standards, ensuring that each patient's unique healthcare needs are met.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and management to optimize office practices, enhance operational efficiency, and improve patient satisfaction.
• Act as a liaison between practice management, hospital administration, and the healthcare team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely patient care records, generating documentation within two business days to support ongoing care, billing, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead patient-centered practices that align with both the goals of the health system and the best interests of the patients.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and implement necessary programs to adhere to evolving healthcare requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute to the overall goals of the healthcare organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner at F. F. Thompson Health, you will serve a diverse patient population, including adult and geriatric patients with a range of chronic conditions, acute illnesses, and preventative care needs. Your clinical expertise and ability to assess and address age-specific requirements will be critical in providing tailored healthcare solutions that promote patient health and well-being.

Qualifications

• New York State certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Board Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• Valid DEA license and ability to obtain necessary privileges to practice at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred but not mandatory.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved Nurse Practitioner program and must fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by the discipline board.

Preferred Experience

• Previous clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
