Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our home care facility in Merrifield, Virginia, where you will engage with patients in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The facility is fully equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology and resources. Your work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations in accordance with industry standards and state regulations.
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and functionality, establishing realistic goals to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Develop informative and customized Plans of Treatment for each patient, identifying short- and long-term goals, and integrating input from patients and caregivers.
• Execute and modify treatment plans consistently based on patient progress and feedback to ensure effective recovery.
• Thoroughly document patient progress in alignment with approved medical and facility documentation protocols.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional literature.
• Collaborate with other facility staff to maintain a professional, clean, and efficient rehabilitation environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at PT Plus, you will work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and age-related concerns. Your ability to devise tailored rehabilitation strategies for different age groups and injury types will be critical to helping your patients regain function and mobility, thereby improving their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing physical therapy services.
• Strong empathy and a compassionate approach to patient care, with the ability to motivate patients to achieve their full potential safely.
• Familiarity with equipment usage and maintenance protocols in a rehabilitation setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic physical therapy, preferably working with patients recovering from surgeries or trauma.
• Additional certifications or training in specialized therapeutic practices or modalities that enhance patient engagement.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
