Positive Change Therapy, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our esteemed team at our Gainesville, Florida Rehabilitation Center. Work Environment

This position is based at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Gainesville, Florida. As a Physical Therapist at our center, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and medical providers, to deliver coordinated and holistic care to every patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on physical therapy care for an assigned inpatient and outpatient caseload, ensuring individualized treatment plans based on each patient's unique needs.
• Collaborate effectively with a diverse interdisciplinary team to assess patient progress and modify treatment strategies accordingly, contributing to the overall success of our rehabilitation programs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments using established physical therapy standards, selecting appropriate assessment tools and devising tailored goals and treatment strategies.
• Document each evaluation and treatment session meticulously in our electronic medical record system, ensuring that billing charges are accurately recorded and compliance with healthcare regulations is maintained.
• Perform patient screenings for various conditions, including lymphedema and fall risks, to identify the need for rehabilitation interventions.
• Design, implement, and modify treatment programs specific to the individual requirements of patients, aiming to restore and maintain function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and minimize disabilities.
• Engage in professional development opportunities, contributing to presentations or educational efforts that can assist in advancing your career along our clinical ladder.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including but not limited to physical injuries, cognitive impairments, psychosocial dysfunctions, and developmental disabilities. You will work with patients of all ages, including children, making it essential to have the ability and knowledge to tailor therapy effectively to diverse physical and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• A valid Florida Physical Therapy License is required.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a robust knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
• Experience and comfort working with pediatric patients.
• Familiarity with current hospital medicine practices and able to provide inpatient care in both clinic and hospital environments.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the required qualifications, we highly value candidates who have demonstrated experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and functional movement assessments is considered a significant asset, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
