Work Environment

The role is based onsite at a school facility, providing a unique opportunity to engage with patients in their learning environment. Your typical work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., ensuring a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

As an Adult Nurse Practitioner, you will have a range of responsibilities that include:

• Performing comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations of acute and chronic health conditions among patients of various ages.
• Formulating individualized treatment plans that address the specific health needs and preferences of each patient.
• Prescribing medications, therapies, and necessary diagnostic tests while adhering to best practice standards.
• Providing education to patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance strategies, and lifestyle modifications that promote overall wellness.
• Collaborating with educators, mental health professionals, and other healthcare practitioners to ensure a holistic approach to each patient’s care.
• Maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficacy of our healthcare delivery.
• Staying informed of the latest advancements in healthcare practices and regulatory standards to continually improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on school-aged individuals and their families, addressing a variety of health concerns that range from preventive care to management of chronic conditions. You will be instrumental in recognizing health issues early, providing timely interventions, and promoting a culture of wellness within the school environment. Working closely with students and staff will allow you to contribute significantly to their overall health and educational success.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Possess an active state nursing license in New Jersey.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrate at least two years of clinical experience, preferably in a primary care setting.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, vital for engaging effectively with patients and their families.
• Show analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, essential for addressing patient health issues.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum required experience is two years, candidates with 3-5 years of clinical experience in primary care will be looked upon favorably. Compensation and Benefits
