Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the intensity and duration of clients' mood disorders and other mental health challenges.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into account their personal goals and treatment preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client’s needs.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment pathways, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans proactively according to their evolving needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for our clients.

• Engage in continuous education and professional development to stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and strategies to support best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, you will provide support to diverse populations within the community, including vulnerable groups such as individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and those affected by domestic violence. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a deeper understanding of mental health issues and facilitating access to essential services.

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
