Key Responsibilities\n

• Monitor client progress through regular evaluations and adapt treatment plans as needed, ensuring responsiveness to individual client needs.

• Educate clients and their families about effective stress management techniques and trauma-informed care approaches.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and community organizations, to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support services.

• Participate in continuing education initiatives to maintain National Certified Counselor certification and stay informed about the latest therapeutic practices and emerging trends in mental health.

• Address gaps in mental health assessment and treatment by actively contributing ideas for enhancements to client services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a counselor at Horizon Care, you will primarily serve clients dealing with trauma-related issues, including those who have experienced psychological distress from various sources, such as accidents, loss, or significant life changes. Your role will involve establishing a trusting therapeutic alliance that empowers clients to share their experiences, helping them move toward healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A valid license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.

Compensation and Benefits\n
