This position is entirely remote, utilizing our advanced telehealth platform to facilitate therapy sessions. Our telehealth framework is designed to enhance accessibility, allowing clients to receive care from the comfort of their homes. The role involves flexible scheduling, primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adjustments anticipated based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories and recommend suitable treatment modalities.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients process trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for each patient.

• Essentially provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies or acute distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, available resources, and the therapeutic process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical guidelines, prioritizing patient privacy and safety.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities designed to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at our organization, you will primarily work with individuals affected by a range of trauma-related experiences, including those grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our client population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. Your role will be pivotal in helping them navigate their recovery journeys, reclaiming their narratives and improving their overall mental health and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, along with resilience-building approaches pertinent to mental health counseling.

• Ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies and interventions with proficiency.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations, ensuring patient needs are always prioritized.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications essential for documentation and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
