This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. Although the role is remote, you will regularly engage in virtual team meetings and case conferences to maintain high-quality care and coordinated treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that take into account the interplay between psychiatric and medical conditions, ensuring a well-rounded approach to treatment.

• Develop and execute integrated treatment plans designed to simultaneously address psychiatric and physical health needs, drawing on evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's unique experiences and needs.
\n
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals to provide coordinated care; participate in case discussions to optimize treatment strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support in high-pressure situations, ensuring patients receive timely and effective help.

• Educate patients regarding the relationship between their mental health and physical conditions, equipping them with tools and knowledge to manage their health proactively.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, and utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for tracking patient progress.

• Actively engage in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest research and methodologies in integrated mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals suffering from co-occurring conditions such as chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, and substance use disorders. Many of our clients experience the compounding effects of psychological stress and medical challenges, requiring a specially tailored approach to their therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia, with a strong commitment to ethical practices.
\n
• Proven expertise in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with complex medical conditions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaborative relationships with patients and healthcare team members.
\n
• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in maintaining electronic documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of direct experience in mental health counseling, particularly in integrated care settings.

• Experience in crisis intervention and management.
\n
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
