Work Environment

This full-time position is primarily onsite at a school facility in Jacksonville, which allows the Nurse Practitioner to engage closely with students and staff. The work environment is dynamic, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patient needs and collaborate with educators, counselors, and other healthcare professionals. The typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments, diagnosing both acute and chronic medical conditions to ensure effective treatment.
• Develop and implement detailed individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and preferences.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, and order necessary laboratory and diagnostic tests to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families regarding disease prevention, health maintenance strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and school staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care and make appropriate referrals.
• Maintain meticulous electronic health records in accordance with organizational policies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions.
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical guidelines to optimize patient care.
• Stay informed on current healthcare best practices and regulatory changes to enhance service delivery.

This role caters primarily to the student population, necessitating an understanding of the unique healthcare needs of children and adolescents. Interactions may also include collaborating with parents, guardians, and school staff to address various health concerns, ensuring a holistic approach to student wellbeing. Qualifications

• Must hold current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Possess an active state nursing license in Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing is required; a Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program is preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in primary care or pediatric settings, is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on patient engagement and education.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience working within a school health setting is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
