Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough entrance evaluations and assessments of inmates referred by security and healthcare staff, providing recommendations for appropriate levels of care.

• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that include psychoeducational components, transitional groups, and therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs.

• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions, applying proven techniques to manage acute situations and support clients in distress.

• Engage actively in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss and coordinate care plans, ensuring a cohesive approach among all providers involved.

• Document all therapeutic interventions and findings in the patients' health records, adhering to corporate and facility standards and protocols to ensure compliance.

• Deliver training sessions for staff on current mental health issues, enabling them to better support clients and understand the complexities of mental health care within the correctional environment.

• Respond to sick call requests efficiently, offering guidance on medication adherence and coordinating with prescribing providers for medication evaluations.

• Provide suicide prevention strategies and management techniques to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their treatment process.

You will be directly responsible for managing a caseload comprised of incarcerated individuals, many of whom face significant mental health challenges.
