Work Environment

You will be working within a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Brandon, Florida. Our onsite setting is designed to promote healing and recovery, offering advanced therapeutic technologies and a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients. The facility features private treatment rooms and open therapy areas, allowing for personalized care and small group therapies to maximize patient engagement and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will include, but are not limited to:

• Directing tailored physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, restoring muscle function, and maximizing overall performance in line with each patient's individualized care plan.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities by employing diagnostic and prognostic assessments involving muscle, nerve, joint, and functional tests.
• Administering manual therapeutic exercises while motivating and guiding clients during non-manual exercises and functional activities to encourage participation and recovery.
• Utilizing physical agents and modalities such as traction and massage to support various treatment protocols.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting orthotic and prosthetic devices, and providing recommendations for modifications to enhance patient mobility and comfort.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and neurological conditions. By employing evidence-based practices, you will contribute significantly to each patient's rehabilitation journey, ensuring they receive compassionate and effective care. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals will be key in creating a cohesive treatment plan that addresses the multifaceted needs of our patients.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active State license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting, geriatrics, acute care, or outpatient environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment and treatment techniques, along with strong patient care planning capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills, along with critical problem-solving abilities to enhance care delivery.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems to document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, candidates with extensive expertise in specialized orthopedic treatments, therapeutic modalities, or additional certifications in related areas will be given preference. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team is also advantageous, as collaboration is key to our rehabilitation approach.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from USD 90,000 to 120,000 annually, along with performance-based bonuses. Additional benefits include:
