Work Environment

This position requires working onsite at our rehabilitation facility, which is designed to foster collaboration among healthcare professionals while providing a peaceful and motivating environment for patients. Our typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, which ensures a balanced work-life dynamic for our staff. The clinic is situated in a desirable location at Fort Myers Beach, known for its beautiful surroundings and welcoming community atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and challenges to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement advanced manual therapies and evidence-based therapeutic interventions focusing on orthopedic conditions.
• Monitor patient progress frequently, adjusting treatment plans based on individual needs and outcomes.
• Educate patients about their conditions and the importance of rehabilitation, empowering them to take charge of their recovery.
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of patient treatments using EMR software, particularly Web PT, to ensure data integrity and accountability.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care, enhancing interdisciplinary communication.
• Promote preventive care strategies among patients to support a healthy lifestyle and reduce future injuries.
• Organize and lead patient education workshops focusing on strength, flexibility, and injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses primarily on an outpatient population dealing with a variety of orthopedic conditions ranging from joint pain to post-surgical rehabilitation. You will work closely with individuals of all ages, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, older adults dealing with chronic pain, and post-operative patients aiming to regain mobility. Tailoring treatment approaches to accommodate each patient's lifestyle and goals is essential, as is fostering a motivating atmosphere that encourages recovery.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with no sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proven expertise in various manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in exercise program development tailored to patient needs.
• The ability to proficiently use EMR software, particularly Web PT, for detailed and effective patient documentation.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy methodologies, ensuring practices align with the latest research and advancements in the field.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Experience in developing patient-specific exercise programs and manual therapy techniques that effectively manage pain and enhance physical function.
• Demonstrated success in patient engagement, including motivating diverse clientele throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
