Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and document comprehensive assessments from initial contact through the entire treatment journey.

• Develop personalized treatment and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individual, group, couples, and family therapy.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to facilitate personal and interpersonal growth.

• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists and healthcare providers to create integrated intervention strategies and ensure holistic patient care.

• Manage referrals to appropriate community resources and other healthcare providers as needed, aiding clients in accessing additional support services.

• Engage in ongoing communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who are temporarily hospitalized, facilitating continuity of care.

• Identify barriers to recovery and proactively implement strategies to mitigate these challenges, enhancing patient engagement and outcomes.

• Provide guidance to family members and primary caregivers on managing the mental and behavioral health challenges associated with loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will represent a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and mental health concerns, from those experiencing anxiety and depression to individuals coping with trauma or serious mental illness. You will play an essential role in empowering clients by developing tailored treatment approaches that respect their unique circumstances, helping them to navigate their healing journey effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of experience in the mental health field as a practicing counselor.
\n
• Proficient with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, and comfortable with the technology used in remote therapy settings.

• Knowledgeable about co-occurring conditions, including physical health issues and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
