Work Environment

This position involves working onsite, primarily in patients' homes across the Miami area. You'll benefit from a dynamic work environment that fosters collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists. Our approach is concierge-style, enabling us to deliver exceptional care on-demand while working closely with families to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment to prevent disabilities, alleviate pain, enhance muscle function, and maintain optimal performance in accordance with patient care plans.
• Supervise and support Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in delivering appropriate therapy interventions while ensuring compliance with the established plan of care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical functions through diagnostic testing and assessments, documenting findings and formulating treatment plans.
• Assess home environments to recommend modifications that promote rehabilitation and independence for clients.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, and the application of physical agents to aid recovery.
• Provide education and instruction to clients and families regarding therapeutic devices and the overall physical therapy program.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute insights towards holistic treatment planning and ongoing evaluations.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring documentation meets all regulatory requirements.
• Remain accessible to supervisory tasks and continuous communication with PTAs during client treatment.
• Complete additional assigned duties as needed to support company goals and enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve are individuals seeking rehabilitation after surgery, injury recovery, chronic illness management, and those requiring ongoing support for maintaining mobility and functional independence. Providing in-home care allows you to create customized therapy plans that cater to specific patient demographics, which may include older adults, individuals recovering from strokes, orthopedic patients, and more.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current PT licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience, preferably in a home care or acute care setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with a focus on building trusting relationships with patients and families.
• Ability to embrace a collaborative approach while taking charge as a thought leader in patient care.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and adhering to regulatory guidelines applicable to physical therapy practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health physical therapy is preferred but not required.
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Capabilities in designing creative and effective therapeutic exercises that engage clients and foster compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and continuous professional development opportunities.
