Work Environment

This position is an onsite role, providing direct patient care in a home care setting. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration. As part of our environment, you will be equipped with the latest tools and techniques in physical therapy, enhancing your ability to offer effective treatment strategies. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will play a pivotal role in integrating holistic care approaches tailored to each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive and tailored treatment plans based on individual patient assessments and needs.
• Administer hands-on therapy to enhance patients' mobility and manage pain, utilizing strategies that prioritize non-invasive methods.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, ensuring one-on-one attention with each client, thereby fostering strong therapeutic relationships.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and manual techniques to improve patient outcomes effectively.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately within our EMR system, such as WebPT.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting plans as necessary to align with patient goals.
• Engage in regular communication with patients to motivate and encourage adherence to their treatment plans, providing education on exercises and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop holistic treatment strategies for complex cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at PhysioCare, you will be working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions impacting their physical function. Our patient population spans a wide range, including post-operative recovery cases, individuals managing pain, and those working towards greater independence in daily activities. The focus is on delivering personalized care that promotes health and well-being while respecting each patient's unique journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with no prior disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based approaches to patient care.
• Experience with EMR software, specifically WebPT, is highly advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team-based healthcare environment.
