Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to determine patient needs effectively.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, tailoring interventions based on assessments and progress.
\n
• Provide ongoing follow-up care for clients to monitor their progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with the Department of Correction for seamless access to care, ensuring appropriate housing and treatment disposition for clients in need.
\n
• Lead group therapy sessions designed for mental health observation units, facilitating meaningful discussions and therapeutic exercises.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory requirements.
\n
• Engage in weekly clinical supervision and participate in mental health and medical rounds as assigned, contributing to interdisciplinary treatment plans.
\n
• Work closely with other institutional programs to coordinate patient care effectively and ensure continuity of services.
\n
• Occasionally conduct psychological testing and supervise interns or volunteers, contributing to their valuable learning experience.
\n
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Unit Chief, Assistant Unit Chief, or Clinical Supervisor to support organizational goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Possession of a valid State license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to ethical practices in mental health counseling.
