Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the individual needs of children and adolescents, using standardized tools and techniques to identify areas of concern.

• Collaborate in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that consider the unique developmental stages and family dynamics affecting each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address various mental health issues effectively.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at fostering communication and understanding between parents and their children, thereby creating more supportive home environments.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to treatment, including medication management when necessary.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and emergency protocols.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and available community resources to empower them in their care journey.

• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.

• Profound knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Previous experience providing individual and family therapy specifically to young clients.
