Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle functionality, and maximizing the independence of patients.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic testing of muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective delivery of treatment plans and provide oversight as required by relevant state laws.
• Perform home evaluations to recommend adaptive strategies to enhance client independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual exercises, traction, massage, and other physical agent treatments.
• Conduct assessments for prosthetics and orthotics, providing recommendations to enhance the therapeutic experience.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, to ensure accurate patient records and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams during case conferences to optimize overall patient care strategies.
• Provide education and support to clients and families regarding treatment plans and use of therapeutic devices.
• Perform ongoing assessments and modifications of care plans to reflect patient progress and evolving needs.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to align with the organization's goals and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
• Possess a current Physical Therapist license in good standing in New Jersey.
• Hold current CPR certification.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
