Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing you to offer your therapeutic expertise from your home or a comfortable location of your choice. However, occasional interactions within a community health clinic setting may occur for group therapy or meetings. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy activities in outpatient clinical settings as needed, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all participants.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical violence, through comprehensive anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Empower children and their caregivers to enhance decision-making skills, promoting positive behavioral change and addressing specific in-home challenges.
\n
• Work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists, ensuring seamless collaboration to optimize treatment plans and shared goals for the child’s development.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, consistent with organizational policies and state regulations.
\n
• Attend regular team meetings to engage in decision-making processes and contribute valuable insights regarding client progress and program effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children aged 3-20 who are grappling with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role calls for sensitivity, creativity, and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages each child's growth and development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required for this position.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential to provide therapy services legally and effectively.

• Flexibility is critical; candidates should be available for 5-10 hours weekly, primarily during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with potential weekend availability being a plus.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for travel during therapy sessions are mandatory.
\n
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety of our clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing Positive Behavior Support is highly valued, equipping you to better serve our clientele.

• Prior work with children within the developmental disabilities spectrum or related fields will enhance your ability to connect with clients effectively and deliver tailored interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
