Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of children and adolescents in a remote context.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and family dynamics.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions via telehealth, addressing a multitude of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower caregivers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to support their children effectively.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other specialists to provide holistic care that encompasses all aspects of a patient's health.

• Offer immediate support and crisis interventions for patients facing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.

• Educate families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and involvement in care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development, contributing to the overall growth and effectiveness of the team.

• Stay informed on the latest research, best practices, and trends in child and adolescent mental health to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on supporting children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. The counselor will engage with clients virtually, creating secure and trusting relationships that can foster improvement and resilience in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred, showcasing your ability and commitment to child and adolescent therapeutic practices.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and effective therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy, emphasizing sensitivity to developmental stages and family dynamics.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Ability to establish rapport and build trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for telehealth operations.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
