Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Lucas Chiropractic Center, you will predominantly operate in a home care setting, connecting directly with patients in their residences. This onsite approach allows for personalized care and insights into patients' environments, enhancing the effectiveness of therapy. Key Responsibilities

Your contributions will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients through detailed reviews of medical history and standardized assessments to formulate an effective treatment plan.
• Communicating clearly with patients and their families about evaluation results and the proposed treatment strategy, involving them in goal-setting processes.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to patient needs, continually adapting to changes in their health status.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to discuss patient progress and concerns, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Documenting care activities accurately and promptly, including initial evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries, emphasizing continuity and clarity in patient care.
• Maintaining a productive schedule, managing time efficiently while meeting performance expectations and participating in community health initiatives.
• Contributing to the advancement of departmental objectives and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Taking initiative for continued professional education and guiding physical therapy students during their clinical rotations.
• Fostering a patient-centered experience by remaining adaptable to patients' unique needs and enhancing their access to care.

You will specialize in treating a diverse patient population, ranging from those recovering from surgery or injury to individuals seeking to manage chronic conditions. Your skills will directly impact their recovery, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Valid state licensure as required by Virginia state law.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• A passion for patient care and a strong desire for ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
