Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate physical conditions, including strength, range of motion, and functional capabilities.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans to address movement dysfunction and enhance activity performance.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercise techniques, ensuring they understand proper methods to optimize recovery.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques such as stimulation or massage to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Assist patients in utilizing rehabilitative equipment, including wheelchairs and walkers, to support their mobility and independence.
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes, using electronic health record systems to track advancements and setbacks.
• Educate patients and their families on at-home care techniques and exercises to support continued recovery outside the therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice welcomes a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients with various health conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. Your role will be pivotal in assisting these individuals to regain function, improve quality of life, and reach their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and telehealth platforms to support patient care management.
• Demonstrated agility in adapting treatment plans based on patient feedback and progress.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant experience within a rehabilitation setting is preferred, although new graduates passionate about patient care and eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
